Today we are about to open the gates for the 15th time in a row.  Fifteen years we’ve welcomed teenage students from around the world to create and environment where we can Love God and Love Others.  Today we celebrate number 15!

When I ask students what KIVU means to them they often say things like…

This is the only place in the world I can be who I really am…
KIVU allows me to explore what I believe, what my purpose is, and people love me…
The Staff at KIVU welcome me no matter what…
When I walk in the gates, I feel like I’m home…

It’s taken a lot of work, but over the 15 years we’ve encouraged people to come from all four corners of the globe, all socio-economic backgrounds, and all faith traditions.  There’s no place for judgement, only a place of exploration.  And in the end; we find people who are ready to go out in the world and make a difference.

We have leaders.
We have followers.
We have entrepreneurs.
We have science lovers.
We have artists.
We welcome all, and for all they can find a place where they can fit in.

If you’re interested in following the journey through the summer, you can check out our Facebook Page, we’ll have a staff blog go up during the week at KIVU Today, or you can just check back here, as I’ll keep a running story log of all the adventures I personally experience.

We’re excited…Today at 2:00 p.m. the gates will open and we’ll kick of 15 years of Loving Teenagers.
