Ok, most of you know there is a U.N. sponsored meeting happening in Copenhagen Denmark right now to discuss Global Climate Change with world leaders.

If you haven't been following the story, the leaders are trying to come to some sort of agreement whereby all the developed, developing, and third world countries can come to the table and try to reduce the amount of CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere trapping heat and thus contributing to climate issues all around the world.

Now I'm no climate scientist.
I don't know the ins and outs of CO2 emissions.
I surely can't predict the impact of humans on the global climate.

But what I do know…

We should take care of the environment.
We should be careful how we use the resources afforded us.
We should be 'good stewards' of the earth God created.

But this is OUTRAGEOUS!!

Today in the China Daily Newspaper there is a report concerning population growth as a serious danger to global climate change.  The comments from Zhao Baige, vice-minister of National Population and Family Planning Commission of China, are totally irresponsible.

"Dealing with climate change is not simply
an issue of CO2 emission reduction but a comprehensive challenge
involving political, economic, social, cultural and ecological issues,
and the population concern fits right into the picture.
Calculations of the contribution of
population growth to emissions growth globally produce a consistent
finding that most of past population growth has been responsible for
between 40 per cent and 60 percent of emissions growth,"

Although China's family planning policy
has received criticism over the past three decades, Zhao said that
China's population program has made a great historic contribution to
the well-being of society.

As a result of the family planning policy,
China has seen 400 million fewer births, which has resulted in 18
million fewer tons of CO2 emissions a year, Zhao said.

Now we're talking about population control in terms of CO2 tons?

Not to mention all the issues China is dealing with right now…

1.) And Aging population
2.) Overrun orphanages with little girls no family intended on keeping
3.) Millions of deaths of children born to families who already had a child
4.) Incredible social pressure for people that didn't hold to the one child policy
5.) Homogeneous population.  Gender issues, now that they see too many men and not enough women for generations.
6.)  Increasing sexual issues, i.e.homosexuality, bi-sexuality, and transgender confusion
7.) Labor issues, Women's rights, Human rights violations

Not to mention, China is one of the most polluted countries in the WORLD!! I've been to Beijing.  That city is GROSS!

To hear the global climate change people revert to this terrible argument of population control is to forget so many other issues that we can help change.

Population certainly isn't the problem.

It's the greedy way people continue to wastefully use the resources outside of their own communities.  You can travel 500 miles in any direction from where I'm sitting right now, and you can find enough room to live, fertile ground to grow food, and plenty of clean air.

Maybe some of these population control people ought to step up to the plate and sacrifice their own selves for the greater good of the planet, rather than dictating how anyone else should live their life.  Maybe they should fall on the sword of honor, rather than try to abort, euthenise, or commit brutal acts of infanticide so they can feel 'green.'

This is absolutely ridiculous.

  1. Keep em coming……the more vocal we can be and keep the TRUTH in the front of people, the better off we will be. People are so deceived by what they read at face value, rather than injecting a little effort to discover the truth behind the agenda of LIBERAL people and ungodly people. Thanks Andy.

  2. Although I agree that population control isn’t the only solution to reducing greenhouse gases, you can’t deny how severely population influences pollution. Before the industrial revolution the world population was at about one billion people, 100 years after that (around 1900) it doubled to two billion. Only 108 years after that (2008) we were already well above six billion people (6.7 to be exact). That is an insane population growth so I think it’s good that you admit that you’re not very educated on the topic of how CO2 works but it’s also irresponsible to then say population isn’t part of the problem. The earth can only sustain so many people. Yes, how we use the resources is what is most important, however we still don’t know if the planet can sustainably support over 6 billion people let alone the predicted 9 billion by 2050.
Again, I want to clarify that I don’t think population control is the answer (or the only answer) but I do think population has a decent sized role in the problem.

  3. Well I think population control is a great idea and it needs to be done in the US as well. I am a 36 yr old female with no kids. I am single by choice and childless by choice. I only want a child if I am fully able to give that child everything. Too many people in our country have 3 or more kids, no education and are living off the system. If you live in a hut, have five kids, no money and no food stop having kids!! Stop acting like animals and keep your damn legs together! Use birth control!! It’s my money and my tax dollars that are paying for all these kids. Meanwhile, when I was laid off not once but twice this year, I couldn’t even get food stamps, healthcare, or barely my unemployment check. I take care of my Mother who is in hospice as well as my bills. Wanna know how much money I have left after I pay my 1250 a month rent that I need to use on food, laundry, transportation, phone, etc.?? I have 470 a month!! Try surviving on that!! BUT, if I pop out a child or had one already I would get all kinds of help. Society tells us, go ahead have more kids, the more you have the more you get!!
I can’t even get into a clinic on unemployment and have been having serious health issues. Not even if I offer a payment plan. But if I were a HS drop out, had a few kids by a few different daddies, VIOLA I would have it made!! I see these girls on the train with their hair and nails done, new clothes, latest gadgets… meanwhile I haven’t had a haircut since JULY!!!
Population control is the first step!! Absolutely!!

  4. One kid policies are not enough.
People should not be allowed to have dogs either. To quote our gracious host, “I am not a climatologist” or a Scientologist for that matter but dogs pant and I learned in elementary school that breathing releases CO2, do the math. Also they slobber. But research on saliva’s impact on the environment hasn’t hit the peer reviewed journals so I don’t feel comfortable defending that argument yet.
Also, let’s kill the fish. Fish eat algae and algae filter Carbon into pure sweet breathable oxygen. We should eat all the fish and while we are at it lets stop preventing and start encouraging agricultural run-off. We could have a giant fertilized Gulf of Mexico. We’d save money while building GREEN acreage the likes of which even ARNOLD THE PIG has never seen. Talk about some CO2 filtration.
THEY will tell you that every LITTLE bit helps but it’s ’bout time to abandon MICRO for MACRO solutions. It is time we stop talking Kyoto and Copenhagen and act.
I propose we unilaterally declare war on Carbon so that we can wrap this subject up and move on to Tiger Woods talk.

Let me know what you think
