We just finished up our Winter Retreat '09 with youth from Syracuse, New York. We went up to a camp about 2 hours north, and I spent the last three days with some AMAZING teenagers.
I watched a packed meeting room of teens worshiping God with all they had.
I listened to Youth Pastors talk about the plight of youth ministry in the North East.
I heard students talk about everything from theology to dating, and some even searching for God to show Himself fully to them in their day to day lives.
My heart is full.
I'm grateful for the God of the Universe who says, "Blessed are the Pour in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:1-5)
I'm grateful for a God who says, "I'm with you!"
This weekend was another incredible moment of reflection for me. Teenagers need venues to seek God, and I'm so thankful to be a part of those times.
For those of you who were praying, let me report with full confidence, God showed up in a supernatural way! May He bless you richly, and deeply today.
