Have you ever tried and tried and tried to figure out a problem only to fall over and over again?
Bouldering does that to me. I get ready to scale a big rock, and then the tiniest little issue, and I'm down on the crash pad below. I do know guys that are awesome at this, but I just don't get it. I think my body just wasn't made to climb in these intricate little spaces.
But the lesson is still there.
Sometimes when we look at life's little problems, they become the little things we get hung up on right?
Like the time when I try to go down the road, and someone pulls out in front of me.
Or the time I go to the restaurant, and have to wait an hour.
Or what about when you're looking for your shoes, and they've suddenly disappeared?
It's the little things that can tear your goals up. It's just like Jesus said, "Therefore I
tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or
about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than
food, and the body more important than clothes? Look
at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in
barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more
valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life" (Matthew 6:25-27)
I guess if I just listened to what Jesus said, and had an opportunity to really grow my faith that God was going to take care of the little things…..
Well, wouldn't we all be better off if we just put things in right perspective?
