I have a great opportunity to take 35 students over to Rwanda this March. We're leaving March 19 and coming home on the 28th, and we're getting geared up for a wonderful time of work with old friends, local orphanage workers, and hopefully new friends, as we develop relationships for future camping ventures in the small African country.
Interestingly enough, two weeks ago, I sat with Bishop John in Washington, and we're already working on Big Youth Events in Rwanda and Burundi for the years to come.
I believe the future of ministry with teenagers will be in the areas of worldview/apologetics, and how they can play that out around the globe. So we are attempting to put our feet in the water, so to speak, and see if the Lord is interested in using the ministry we do in the summer time, coupled with international aid trips around the globe, to somehow raise a generation that actualizes their faith in real life.
In any event, I just want to let you know what's up, and let you know there is a LIVE fundraiser going on tonight in Denver that you can attend if you want, or you can watch it on the Web.
If you're interested in participating in a LIVE fundraiser to help the students raise funds to go over, you can visit http://www.ustream.tv/channel/night-of-worship-for-rwanda and and give to the kids.
If you can help in any way, please feel free to stop by tonight 8:-9:15 Mountain time, or if you're interested in helping fund someone's trip, just contact me firstname.lastname@example.org; and I'll be sure to let you know the needs to this point.
There are some exciting things going on in the lives of these students, and we'd love for you to join us as we take the gospel to a people in a foreign land, and we help educate students about the need to be global minded in their spiritual journey.
God bless, and thanks for your help.
