So, here I sit in the Denver International Airport.  Over the years, I've found that this place is growing on me.  I know the ins and outs. I know the places to eat, where to find coffee, and even have a few familiar faces to say hello to as I walk through the hallways.  It's kind of weird.  Sort of like that old show "Cheers."  You go where everybody knows your name.  Hmmm, Not sure I want to be known at an international airport, if you know what I mean.

In any event, here I sit waiting on my next flight to Washington D.C., and I look out the window to look at the most beautiful sunset.  Clouds are hovering over the mountains, and the colors here are brilliant.  What a view!

As I watch in wonder, I find myself reflecting on the short week I had in Phoenix.

Tucson was a total success.  The people down there are great.  The church we spoke in is absolutely fantastic.  The hosts were incredible.  It was an out of the park home run of ministry!!

Then when we got to phoenix, I was able to connect with one of my favorite schools, Valley Christian.  I've been going down there for a few years doing chapels, spiritual emphasis weeks, and I even go into the classrooms and they let me teach Bible.  Isn't that crazy!!  I love those kids, and my heart is often drawn to pray for them through the year.

And then yesterday, I had a wonderful chance to meet my new friend Harry at CCV in the Northwest Valley.  Harry is the head of sports for a megalithic church, and his view of ministry is RIGHT ON! He just wants to use sports to point kids to a meaningful life filled with Jesus.  It was one of the best meetings I've had in a while.  What a blessed soul!

All in all it's been a great trip for recruiting students to come to our place in the summer.
It's been a wonderful connection with some of my favorite people in the world.
And overall, It's just re-confirmed my desire to be an encourager to the next generation, no matter what that looks like.

I can't wait to post from our nation's capitol and share with you the meetings I'm going to have a privilege to be involved with.  I'm getting ready to step into a world of unparalleled power and hopefully have a chance to share Jesus with more influencers.

God bless you today.  Thanks for your continued prayers.

  1. Hey Andy, been thinking of you and wanted to check out the blog to see what you were up to. Traveling, I see. I think I led worship once at that Phoenix school, but maybe I’m mixing names up. Hope you’re well, man. Happy New Year.

Let me know what you think
